01 — How it works
Three steps, a few minutes.
No spreadsheets to build. Your books already hold the patterns: upload one report, or connect QuickBooks and skip the export.
- Step 1 of 3
Bring your books
Upload your General Ledger (in QuickBooks Online: Reports → General Ledger, the last 12 months, exported as a CSV), or connect QuickBooks Online through Intuit's secure sign-in.
- Step 2 of 3
Check a few things
Confirm your cash today, pick a safety buffer, and say yes or no to the handful of items we're unsure about.
- Step 3 of 3
See your 13 weeks
Your forecast appears right away, with what needs attention first, and a formatted Excel workbook: emailed when you upload, a click away when you're connected.
02 — How the numbers are made
A forecasting engine, not another AI tool.
Your forecast is calculated, not generated.
The numbers
Rules applied to your own books
Every figure comes from a forecasting engine that reads your books: your regular income and spending, how quickly each customer usually pays, and the invoices and bills still open.
- The same books always give the same forecast
- Every number traces back to your books
- No AI in any calculation
Where AI helps, and only there
The few things rules can't settle
Some items the rules can't match on their own. There, AI suggests and you decide. It never calculates or changes a number.
- An account whose type is unclear: AI suggests one, you confirm it
- A payment that looks like a one-off: AI explains why, you decide whether it repeats
- The summary in plain words: every number in it is checked against your forecast
03 — What you get
Everything a 13-week forecast should be.
The forecast finance teams build by hand, made from your own books in minutes.
- 2.1
Week by week, 13 weeks ahead
Money in, money out and cash at the end of every week, starting from the cash you have today.
- 2.2
A safety line that flags tight weeks
Each week is checked against that week's spending plus your buffer, so a tight week shows up long before it arrives.
- 2.3
What to do next, ranked
Cash gaps, customers to chase and big payments coming up, sorted by urgency and size.
- 2.4
Two ways to see it
By category, or by customer and vendor, with how quickly each customer usually pays.
- 2.5
One-offs kept out of the trend
A one-time truck purchase won't repeat every month. The engine finds the unusual items, AI explains each one, and you decide.
- 2.6
An Excel workbook you'll keep
Formatted sheets, native charts and live formulas. Change your buffer and the flags update.
04 — The workbook
A spreadsheet you'll actually open.
Every forecast comes as an Excel file, emailed when you upload or a click away when you're connected, ready to share with your partner, banker or accountant.
- A one-page summary with native Excel charts
- Actions ranked by urgency, with the details
- Both views, with rows that fold and unfold
- Fully linked: change any amount, and every total, the cash and the charts follow
05 — Privacy
Your books stay yours.
Upload and nothing leaves your browser; connect and it's read-only, for your eyes and the people you invite.
- Upload: your ledger stays in your browser
- The CSV is read and forecast on your computer. The file isn't uploaded unless you choose to share it, and the workbook is emailed, not kept.
- Connect: read-only, on your terms
- Connecting goes through Intuit's own sign-in. We only read your books, never change them, and you can disconnect at any time.
- Only you and the people you invite
- Connected books are stored encrypted, seen only by the people you invite, and deleted 30 days after you disconnect.
- AI sees only what it needs
- A few account names, the unusual items it checks, and your forecast's headline numbers for the summary. Never your full ledger.
06 — Questions
Asked, and answered.
Is this another AI tool?
No. Your forecast is calculated by a forecasting engine: fixed rules applied to your own books, so the same books always give the same numbers and every number traces back to them. AI helps only where rules can't settle something on their own: suggesting the type of an unclear account in an uploaded ledger and explaining items that look like one-offs (you decide on both), and writing the summary in plain words, where every number is checked against your forecast. AI never calculates or changes a number.
Is it really free?
Yes, both ways, and no card. Uploading needs no signup: just an email address so we can send your Excel workbook, up to three forecasts a day. Connecting QuickBooks needs a free account.
Do I need to connect QuickBooks?
No. Uploading one report gives you a full 13-week forecast. Connecting saves you the export: your forecast refreshes from QuickBooks in one click, and you can adjust it, download it and share it, and invite your team or your accountant.
Which QuickBooks do I need?
QuickBooks Online. Either export its General Ledger report as a CSV (the last 12 months gives the forecast the most history to learn from), or connect it directly.
How is the forecast made?
From your own books: your regular income and spending, how quickly each customer usually pays, and the invoices and bills still open. Unusual one-off items can be left out so they don't repeat.
What is the safety line?
For each week, that week's expected spending plus a buffer you choose. We suggest about a month of your average spending. Any week where cash falls below the line is flagged.
What happens to my data?
If you upload, your transactions stay in your browser. We keep your email address (to send the workbook and, if you opt in, occasional tips). If you choose to share your file to help improve the tool, it's stored encrypted and deleted within 12 months, or sooner on request. If you connect QuickBooks, we only read your books; they're stored encrypted, seen only by the people you invite, and deleted 30 days after you disconnect. The privacy policy has the details.
